I got an email from a friend who was looking for some extra headlights from our "modern" Porter accessories parts, and I realized that I had totally neglected a really easy product to release. You see, since I had already modeled the headlight, It only took about an hour to reconfigure that part into a sprue of 5. That same friend had months before mentioned bells, because getting appropriately sized parts is kind of hard. N scale bells are too small, and most HO scale bells are too large for something like an 0-4-0 Porter. So over the weekend I cranked some tunes, poured a cup of coffee and started modeling.
The passenger cars are still in early development, although some prototype parts have been designed and ordered. The roof and steps have been designed and are currently being printed. In order to keep this car affordable, 3D prints of the roof will have to be cast in resin, and I demand that they have open windows, because well, I can demand those kinds of things, and I want to offer an alternative to the only passenger cars like this available on the market. I have a few of those models, and they're pretty nice, but they don't have open upper clerestory windows, and the doors are so short that only Jawas and Ewoks can fit through them.
Still to do on the Yosemite cars are the laser cut parts, and we will be offering a new style of truck for these, which will be available separately.
Apart from that, we're still working on the On18 Climax, and at any given moment, we have half a dozen other projects in various stages... just like the workbench.
