I abandoned HOn30 for a time, to continue working in N scale, and more recently a dabbling into On30. I didn't have the space for an On30 layout, so I contacted Barry at Railway Recollections, and got some more HOn30 kits, hoping that would satisfy my narrow gauge craving. I had found that there was a rapidly growing On30 modeling contingent on Facebook, but there was nothing devoted to HO scale on N scale track, or OO9 either. I took the next logical step, which was to throw my hands in the air in disgust, and walk away from everything to live in a hole in the ground.
Wait.... I didn't do that at all....
I created the HOn30/OO9/HOe Modeler's Facebook page, because while internet forums are good, there are a ton of them, and it's difficult to know where best to post you latest work. They're also kind of old tech, and typically they aren't exactly user friendly for new people to share photos and ask questions. Everybody it seems has social media accounts, so it seemed to me at the time that it made sense to create a Facebook page so people could share their modeling, and develop a sense of community within the HOn30 world, since geographically, we're all pretty separated.
Enough about that. The point of this post is to point people to other's websites to show you that you're not alone in your modeling efforts. The picture above is by Terry Pepper, and he has a blog HERE. Terry is also a lighthouse aficionado, and could literally talk your ears off about them.
I could go on, and on, and on, about all of the great things that HOn30 modelers are doing currently, but you really should check out what these guys are doing, and if you're on Facebook, pop over to the HOn30 group, and sign up, as these guys all post there regularly, and be sure to visit the Marsh Creek Miniatures Facebook page, and give that a like too!
You know the drill...
