As you can see above, the 20' laser cut kits have some company, which means we are growing in our offerings to the HOn30 community.
If you haven't noticed, all of our kits are designed to accept 1015 couplers, and common wheels (for now), that way you can buy in bulk and save money, while not having to search obscure websites for expensive, hard to find items. If you've been following for a while, you know that I had contacted Northwest Shortline about some custom wheelsets for HOn30, for prototypes that used larger than 20" wheels. They're not budget items, but they work well and look nice, while sticking to our preferred axle style. You may see them soon in some On18 items.... But back to the Disconnects... They're available HERE:
Mann's Creek Railway 4 wheel hoppers? You betcha. Current commercial HOn30 hoppers from the European manufacturers are very....European. Not this Bald Eagle. Pass the moonshine, because these hoppers are from West-By-God-Virginia. These backwoods beauties are available in singles or pairs, (buy pairs...it's cheaper) and are set up to accept American couplers and wheelsets. Details I added were some .015" wire for a brake staff, (holes are printed in...no drilling!) a brake wheel, and some .020" wire cut to 1/4" for the journal supports. Check out the Youtube video of these little gems in action, and you can get yours HERE
So, I'm not letting the fact that I'm not at the National Narrow Gauge Convention in Augusta Maine get me down. I'm using the time to work on some projects, and get myself prepared for prime building season. Gotta make hay while the sun shines!
Go Build Something Awesome.
