Video is king of media, and just like photography, videography requires lots of light. I am by no means an expert in photography, or videography, so i have been watching videos and reading articles en masse trying to learn as much as possible. Some of the most interesting channels on youtube are by independent no budget filmmakers, who do a lot of DIY which I absolutely love. To get as much light on the workbench as possible, I built a stand out of 1/2" PVC pipe and fittings to support 2 100W lights for photo and video directly on the workbench. the stand features mounting points for an overhead camera, and may be upgraded later to add other gadgets, like microphones and small monitors. (I have a couple of old smartphones with good cameras, I wonder if I can integrate them somehow).
So, stay tuned Bat-fans, because Marsh Creek will be working on some cool stuff in the coming weeks!
Go build something awesome!
